Weekly Reflection: Learning Through the Simple Act of Baking
This week, I spent some time baking cakes — something I enjoy, but also an activity that quietly teaches me far more than I expect. What began as a simple attempt to unwind turned into a meaningful reminder about patience, precision, and the value of trusting a process from start to finish. As I measured ingredients, mixed the batter, and monitored the baking time, I realised how each step requires intention. Baking is not something that can be rushed. The quantities must be accurate, the mixing must be balanced, and the timing has to be right. If even one element is overlooked, the entire result changes. This made me reflect deeply on my academic journey as a PGDM student. Much like baking, learning and managing academic responsibilities demand structure, consistency, and the discipline to approach tasks one step at a time.
